Blackrock reicht Bitcoin-ETF Antrag ein (15.06.23)
BlackRock, der weltgrößte Vermögensverwalter, hat bei der US-Börsenaufsicht SEC einen Antrag für einen Bitcoin-ETF gestellt, mit dem Anleger Zugang zu Kryptowährungen erhalten können. Der iShares Bitcoin Trust von BlackRock wird Coinbase Custody als Treuhänder nutzen. Im letzten Jahr hatte BlackRock einen Spot-Bitcoin-Privattrust für institutionelle Kunden in den USA eingeführt. Ein Spot-Bitcoin-ETF würde den zugrundeliegenden Marktpreis von Bitcoin nachverfolgen und Anlegern eine Exposition gegenüber Bitcoin bieten, ohne es direkt zu kaufen. Dies erfolgt zu einer Zeit, in der die Kryptowährungsindustrie unter strenger Beobachtung der SEC steht. Trotz Ablehnung von Anträgen für Spot-Bitcoin-ETFs von Unternehmen wie Grayscale, Fidelity, Cboe Global Markets und NYDIG, sehen Experten die Antragstellung von BlackRock als positives Zeichen für eine mögliche regulatorische Genehmigung.
